Home Remedies to Get Rid of Vaginal Infection
Remove the outer skin of a clove of garlic by peeling and insert it into the vagina. Leave it overnight and in the morning remove it. Garlic is antibacterial and antifungal. It contains allicin that is a natural antibiotic. It kills microbes and promotes healing. Repeat this for a few days, and the symptoms will disappear.
2. Plain yogurt-
The presence of probiotics makes yogurt our choice for the treatment of vaginal infections. Insert plain yoghurt into your vagina before sleeping. In the morning wash it off. Alternatively, you may also soak a tampon in yoghurt and insert it into the vagina. Leave it overnight and in the morning remove it. Repeat this for a few nights.
3. Oregano oil and tea tree oil-
Oregano oil is a potent antibacterial. In the case of bacterial vaginosis dilute it by adding three drops of oregano oil to8 ounces of distilling water. Douche your intimate parts with this solution two times in a day for a few days. If you are suffering from vaginal yeast infection use tea tree oil instead of oregano oil.
4. Apple cider vinegar-
Apple cider vinegar is acidic balances the natural vaginal flora. Mix apple cider vinegar and water in equal amounts and douche with the dilution two times in a day.
5. Boric acid-
Insert a capsule of boric acid in your vagina. Leave it overnight and then remove it in the morning. It mostly works in the case of vaginal yeast infection.
* Boric acid capsules are not to be consumed orally. While using it avoid oral sex or it is poisonous for your partner.
How to prevent vaginal infection
To prevent vaginal infections in future maintain vaginal hygiene, use a lactic acid intimate wash for cleaning vagina. Avoid douche. Wear loose cotton panties. Avoid using harsh soaps. Drink lots of water and eat a healthy and balanced diet.
The home mentioned above remedies could only treat vaginal infection caused due to yeast or bacteria. They won’t heal trichomoniasis or any other STD.
