How You Can Manage Restless Legs
Restless legs syndrome or RLS is a condition that causes uncomfortable tingling sensations in your legs. This urges you to move your leg more often and you can’t relax in just one position for a longer time.

This situation occurs when a person is sitting, sleeping or in a resting position and it often occurs during night time. This situation is common for the people who usually suffers from nerve problems, kidney problems, iron deficiency and in women who are pregnant.
Here are some natural ways to deal with this problem:
1# Hot or Cold Compress
Hot Or Cold Compress
A hot or cold ice compress helps in soothing the pain and discomfort that arises from RLS. You need to place the hot or cold compress on the affected area for 25-30 minutes before going to sleep. You can also take a warm water shower for few minutes before snoozing off to bed to cure RLS.
Banana is loaded with potassium and vitamin B and its daily consumption helps in calming down RLS. Banana has calming effect on the nerves and it helps in reducing muscular spasms too. You can either eat 1 banana or include it in your diet as a shake on daily basis.
Turmeric contains curcumin that has anti-inflammatory properties which helps in reducing the pain and inflammation due to RLS. You can also take curcumin supplements as directed by the doctor and drink as much water as you can in the whole day.
4# Avoid Caffeine
Caffeine deprives you from the sleep and increases your chances of being affected by RLS at night time. Avoid consuming coffee, chocolates or caffeine rich foods to get rid from RLS and to get a good sleep at night.
5# Hot Massage
Massage of your legs with warm oil also helps in calming down the nerves and gives you relaxation. You will get a good night sleep if you do this on daily basis before going to bed. You can also take a bucket of warm water and dip your legs in it for few minutes. This will reduce the pain and keeps uneasiness in your legs at bay.
Physical exercises that includes movement of legs also helps in relieving the pain caused in your legs due to RLS. You can go for cycling, brisk walk or simply do some leg exercises to get rid of the pain and restless in your legs. When your limbs will move on regular basis then there are less chances of RLS to occur on frequent basis.
7# Good Sleep
A good sleep will also help in reducing the symptoms of RLS and cures it completely. Stay away from mobile, TV or any such thing that can activate your mind during night time. Keep your mind relaxed by meditating or by reading a light book before you go to sleep. This will give you a happy and calming sleep for sure and keep RLS at bay.
8# Iron And Vitamin Supplements
Iron and vitamin D deficiency are the main causes for RLS and this aggravates it further. Check for the deficiency of these two in your body by the simple blood test and then your doctor will suggest you the required medication for this deficiency that will tame the problem of RLS.
