Rose water cools, soothes and heals your skin from sun damage. It keeps your skin moisturised and provides instant relief from sunburn. Rose water contain compounds that blocks tyrannise and lightens the skin tone. Apply rosewater on over your exposed skin areas with the help of a cotton ball and let it dry.

Pomegranate juice

Alpha hydroxy acids such as malic acid, lactic acid and glycolic acid inhibits the activity of tyrosine and limits melanin production giving skin lighting effect.

Drink 2 cups of green tea every day.

For topical use, steep a bag of green tea in a cup of steaming water and leave it for 15 minutes. Once the tea cools down apply it with the help of a cotton ball over the affected area. After 15 minutes, rinse it off.

Besides, it is very important to protect your skin from sun exposure to prevent the worsening of age spots. Sun damage results in pigmentation, tanning and age spots. It reduces skin elasticity and results into premature aging. Excessive exposure to the sun also increases the risk of skin cancer. This is why it is always advised to wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher half an hour before stepping out in the sun throughout the year even during winters. Re-apply the sunscreen every three to four hours. Also, carry an umbrella or hat to protect yourself from the sun heat. Avoid getting out in the sun from 11 am to 4 pm when the sun-rays are strongest.
