However, some people suffer from frequent anxiety attacks, which is persistent as they worry about everything in everyday situation. People who suffer from chronic anxiety suffers from symptoms such as tension, agitation, nervousness, chest pain and racing heart. When anxiety becomes a regular experience it needs to be treated as, it may lead to anxiety disorder, which is a mental illness.

Chamomile tea To Combat Anxiety

Chamomile tea contain compounds similar to the drug Valium that binds to the brain receptors and calms you down. Research has found that regular intake of chamomile supplements for about 2 months decrease symptoms of anxiety.

To prepare chamomile tea add dried chamomile flowers to a cup of steaming water. Steep it for about 15 minutes. Strain and drink the concoction. Drink this at least once in a day.

Lavender To Combat Anxiety

Lavender has anxiolytic effect. It calms the portion of brain that controls emotions. It is sedative and antidepressant. Lavender essential oil has a pleasing smell and is used in aromatherapy to relieve stress and relax mind and body. It helps you get rid of tension headache, nervous stomach, insomnia and anxiety. To a cup of steaming water add dried lavender and steep it for 15 minutes. Strain it and add a teaspoon of lemon juice and a teaspoon honey to it. Drink the tea.

Herb Hops –

It is very bitter in taste and cannot be consumed as unless it is combined with mint or chamomile. It is a mild sedative that promote sleep. Consult your doctor about how to take hop and its dose.

Lemon Balm

Lemon balm has been used to reduce anxiety and stress since middle ages. It also helps with insomnia. It is often taken in combination with other herbs such as chamomile and hop. It is available in the market as tincture, capsule and tea.

Green tea contains l-the anine, which is amino acid that is known to reduce anxiety. It has a calming effect and keeps you relax. Drink green tea at least two times in a day to reduce stress and anxiety.

Exercise is the best way to to burn off the anxious energy. Also, it helps the body to release good hormones that makes you feel high-spirited. You do not need to go to the gym and sweat yourself. Stretching, brisk walk, cycling and running will also help.

Meditation is one of the best way to slow down your racing thoughts. Once your thoughts are in your control, it becomes easy to manage anxiety and stress. Try mindful meditation to keep yourself relax.

While in stress you unconsciously tense your muscles that make the symptoms of anxiety worse. Relaxing exercises, breathing exercises and yoga helps you to relax the tensed muscles and ease anxiety. Practice yoga and relaxing exercises under the supervision of an experienced trainer.

Most of the people feel anxious because they have so many commitments to do related to work, family and health but fail in time management. When the work is not completed in time, they become anxious. Plan your day accordingly. Make realistic expectation with yourself. Better, do one task at a time so that you can focus on it and complete it within the time.
