Warm compress-

Heat opens the skin pores. Eventually, hairs get soften and go outwards. Boil water in a bowl. Make sure the temperature of the water is bearable. Soak a cotton ball in it. Wring it to remove excess of water. Place cotton ball over the affected area for a few seconds. Repeat the process for 5-10 minutes several times in a day for a few days.

Aloe vera is another proven home remedy to treat infected ingrown hair on labia. It is rich in beta-carotene, vitamin E and vitamin C. Also, aloe vera gel hydrates the skin and improves the elasticity of the skin.It is antibacterial and checks the growth of bacteria and also reduces inflammation and swelling. Aleo ver eliminates natural mucus that is rich in vitamins and enzymes that balances skin pH and promotes healing. Extract gel of fresh aloe vera leaf and apply it directly to the infected part. Wash it after 5-6 hours. Repeat this 2-3 times in a day.

Mint leaves-

Mint is an excellent herb that soothes and moisturises skin. It also makes your skin fresh and reduces burning and pain. Crush a few mint leaves and apply it on the affected area. Leave it for 6 hours and then rinse it off with warm water. This is followed by application of mild moisturizer. Repeat this 2-3 times in a day.

Oatmeal bath-

Oatmeal has soothing and healing property. It reduces itching, swelling and keeps skin moisturised. To your bathtub filled with water add a cup of oatmeal and soak your self it. Make sure that the affected area is thoroughly soaked. After 30 minutes take a bath with plain water and then dry yourself with a soft cloth. Apply moisturiser after that. Repeat this for a few days.

Olive oil-

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids. It soothes dry skin and reduces skin damage. Apply olive oil directly to the affected part many times in a day.

Tea tree oil-

Tea tree oil is antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It not only prevents skin infection but also treats ingrown hair naturally. But as tea tree oil is very pointed you should never apply it directly to your skin. Mix a few drop of tea tree oil to a teaspoon of olive oil. Apply it to the affected part. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat this a few times in a day.
