Cholesterol is necessary for all human beings. Every person will have good and bad cholesterol. If bad cholesterol is present in excess amount then it leads to many heart diseases. It also causes other diseases like chest pain, heart attack, gall stones, numbness in legs, etc. If you are suffering with high cholesterol then go through this article to know how to reduce the levels of this bad cholesterol.

Actually, cholesterol production takes place in the liver. But, It is also accumulates in the body through the food which we eat. Liver actually produces good cholesterol in the body.

Diet:

Making necessary changes in diet is very important. Incorporate nuts, vegetables, fruits, etc.. Cut down saturated fats and excess oil. Consume low fat dairy products. Remove fat from chicken and meat. Also, include food that is rich in fiber. Consume olive oil as it contains good fats. Have garlic regularly, as it tends to lower cholesterol levels in the body. Replace your regular usage oils with olive oil, as sit is good for heart and health and balances good cholesterol levels.

Green tea is said to lower the cholesterol levels in the body. It works wonders on the body as far cholesterol is considered. It contains tannins and flavonoids that are really effective in lowering the levels of cholesterol. They clean the arteries and as a result, it helps in easy supply of blood. Green tea also keeps you active and you can work more and also helps in burning calories.

Junk food has no nutrients and adds unnecessary calories by increasing cholesterol levels in the body. So, reduce intake of junk foods and eat lot of stuff that is rich in fibre and nutrients. Junk food blocks arteries and it becomes difficult for the heart to supply and pump blood to body organs.

Consume Egg Yolk in Moderation:

Eggs are good for health, but they are high on cholesterol and a normal human being requires just 300 mg of cholesterol per day. So, keep an eye on egg consumption when you eat it next time. Eggs contain lots of good cholesterol and other vital nutrients.
